We are very proud of our colleague, David Feldberg, managing director of our financial centre in Ottawa. Over the years, his centre has supported the Annual Ottawa Celebrity Sports Dinner, Dancing with the Docs for the Ottawa Hospital, Annual Gold Plate Hellenic Dinner, and Women in Business among many others.
Recently, he was dinner chair for his friend, Ottawa lawyer and philanthropist Lawrence Greenspon who was honoured at an annual Jewish National Fund Negev Dinner. The dinners honour individuals who have demonstrated excellence in community leadership as well as dedication to Israel. The evenings also raise funds for projects in Israel, to be chosen by the honouree.
“Larry’s kindness and concern for others is an inspiration to all who know him,” says David. “He doesn’t see people by religion, colour or creed. He sees everybody just as people, and he treats everybody very kindly.” It was Lawrence who started the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation’s Nordic Walk for Cancer Survivorship, which David’s centre enthusiastically supported for many years.
The sold-out dinner brought together leaders in the Jewish community and broader community to corporate sponsors to professional fundraisers from non-profit organizations.
Thank you, David, for introducing us to an outstanding community leader.
Dinner chair David Feldberg, Lawrence Greenspon, and Rabbi Reuven Bulka.
